Paint Sealant

“Every automobile should have paint sealant.”

Paint sealants protect your vehicle’s paint. As you know, the paint is what protects your car’s body against rust. A good paint sealant helps your paint retain it’s color and high luster, and it has the added bonus of making your car easy to keep clean.

Benefits of Paint Sealant

If you have bought a new car, then chances are that in 2 to 5 years you will want to sell it or trade it in.

Ideally, when that time comes, your car will be as new looking as it was the day you bought it, so you’ll get the most money for it.

It is possible to keep your car looking brand new for many years.

Paint sealants extend the life of your paint by protecting it from UV radiation, road salts, industrial fallout, environmental pollution, acid rain, bird droppings and tree sap etc.

This means that protecting your vehicle’s paint is protecting your investment. Paint sealants are by far the most effective way of maintaining the value of your car… truck, van, boat, plane, etc.

How Paint Sealant Works

If you were to look at the paint on your car under a microscope, you would see that it is not smooth, it is full of tiny holes or pores and looks much like a sponge. Sealing these pores protects the paint and makes it stronger, even providing some degree of protection against stone chips and minor scratches.

The environment is full of harmful chemicals, from salts put on the road in winter, bird droppings and tree sap, to corrosive and oxidizing compounds in acid rain and industrial fallout. A good paint sealant protects the paint against these conditions and the tough coating also blocks the Sun’s harmful UV radiation which can cause the color to fade.

Although even a paint sealant is not impervious to all of these things, the extra protection means that you have far longer to remove them before permanent damage can occur. Then all you really need to attend to is make sure the car is washed on a regular basis. With the paint sealant resisting the adhesion of dirt and grime, washing your car becomes easy as all you need do is wet, wash and rinse. There is no need for additional polishes and waxes.

Paint sealant is not a super wax. Paint sealant protection offers an easier alternative to waxing. Unlike wax which evaporates in a few weeks, a paint sealant will last for years with a minimum of work to keep it renewed.

A paint sealant is a cocktail of polymers, copolymers and amino functional resins which not only create a hard high gloss shell over your automobile’s painted surface, but are also designed to be resistant to the corrosive effects of bird droppings, acid rain and the oxidizing compounds in industrial fallout.

Paint sealant is a chemical bonding process that actually changes the surface of the paint to give it a smoother and harder finish that will prevent extreme weather conditions from causing fading and oxidization of the paint.

For this chemical process to take place it is of utmost importance that your vehicle be mineral washed and high-speed buffed with a clear coat polish (no wax or silicone) to smooth out the pores of the paint, remove surface blemishes and all residue from previous waxing.

The paint sealant is then applied using a buffer oscillating at 1500 rpm. This high speed creates a friction bond of the paint sealant to the paint and results in a smooth hard surface that is impossible to obtain with hand and elbow application.

Sealants Pay You Back

The end result is that you have guaranteed paint protection for the stated life of your paint sealant. Your car will remain looking new and you have little work to do maintaining it.

When the time comes to sell your car, you will know that your paint will be in pristine condition, there will be no fading, staining, etching or rust.

The higher resell price that your car will bring will pay you back every penny you spend on paint sealant protection.
